"The course is flexible."
That's what Joyce Mirman wanted to convey to individuals considering taking
her Internet Tools class. She also explained that people can use the class
for projects of personal interest. "The Internet is changing constantly
and what is most important is that we remain flexible in our thinking and
curriculum. Students can research topics of interest to them while becoming
proficient on the internet."
Joyce is in her 24th year of
teaching at The University of Akron. She has a masters in science
from the U. of A. Her teaching experience covers Java, COBOL, and mathematics.
She has done contract training for corporations and has served as chairperson
for the UA Business Division.
